Created by Scientists, for Scientists

syGlass revolutionizes scientific data visualization, offering a powerful platform for researchers to explore 3D or 4D data through virtual reality. Specializing in large datasets from microscopes and scanners, syGlass enables precise quantification and swift corrections in VR. syGlass empowers scientists to understand and communicate complex datasets with unprecedented clarity.

Visualize

Explore complex scientific data from diverse sources with our software in virtual reality.

  • Inspect data sets from MB to TB size using our super-fast rendering system.

  • Leverage visual cortex to quickly reveal objects, and spatial / temporal patterns that are not identifiable even in 3D rendering on 2D monitors

  • Save time by planning your analytics that quantify the important elements of your data

  • Configure different visualization settings to highlight important features in your data

Analyze

Utilize stereo vision and powerful 3D tools for fast and accurate annotation and correction of automated analytics:

  • Automated and manual object counting and extremely fast error correction to collect pristine data

  • The only solution for tracking cell processes, including membrane ruffling in complex 4D image volumes

  • Accurate segmentation of structures with tracing and 3D volumetric segmentation tools

  • Programming API to import annotations for proofreading and export data for publication or further analysis

Communicate

Showcase your findings in immersive VR, 360° stereo videos, and traditional 2D photo and video:

  • Meet in syGlass multiplayer rooms with collaborators around the world

  • Create VR lectures with 3D image data, or export your lecture as a traditional or 360 degree video

  • Produce cinematic, publication-ready video displaying your data

  • Generate high-resolution figures for publications, including automated 2D and 3D scale bars

    • 3D and 4D Image Data: TIFF, PNG, JPEG, DICOM, VSI, OIR, IMS, CZI, ND2, LIF, local OME-Zarr, SLD, and SLDY files

    • Mesh Data: OBJ, FBX, and STEP files

    • Slideshow images as PNGs

    • High-dimensional scatter plot data from CSV files

  • Headset Compatibility

Currently available headsets that we recommend include:

    • Meta Quest 2 and 3

    • Pico Neo 3 and Pico 4

    • Windows Mixed Reality Headsets

  • syGlass is equipped with a variety of tools to enhance 3D image analysis. The current suite of tools support counting, tracking (over time), and tracing dendrites, axons, and blood vessels. syGlass also notably supports volumetric segmentation and deep neural networks analysis.

  • The syGlass license is a cloud-based floating license. You may install syGlass on as many machines as desired. When the first machine activates the application, it checks out the license, preventing the other machines from using it. Once the application on the first machine is closed, the other machines may activate the software and utilize the license.

syGlass provides onboarding assistance for new users and ongoing support for existing users. Our team is available to address any inquiries or concerns you may have.

  • syGlass has very intuitive controls, so even the VR novice can be smoothly working during their first session. Your group will be onboarded by one of our experts to learn all aspects of standard workflows. Embedded VR tutorials for every tool and workflow solve most questions and support gaining expertise. And, the syGlass team is always available as questions arise.
